Erin Nelson
Biography
Erin joined 麻花影院 as Development Director in September 2025 after leading international advancement for the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (USA).
Erin holds a BA and an MA in East Asian Languages and Literatures (Japanese) from Washington and Lee University and The Ohio State University, respectively. She began her career as a Japanese linguist with the United States federal government before transitioning into higher education and development. Erin brings a wealth of experience in fundraising and advancement, most recently serving as Senior Director for International Advancement at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she led global donor relations and fundraising initiatives. Her previous roles include Director of Advancement at The American School in Japan, Director of Development at Thornton Academy, and Director of Parent Giving at Bates College in Maine, USA.
